Conceive, Believe, Achieve

Have you noticed how easily you can slip into doing the same things day after day? How you can lose the joy and excitement of your own life and it can become humdrum and boring?

Well remember then that you are the driver in your own life. You and only you, make the changes in your life happen. You and only you, are responsible for your own actions and inactions. It seems strange to think that you have created your own life experiences, especially when life seems difficult or really sad events happen.

Sometimes sad things do happen in life, the natural order of life is that our grandparents will journey home to spirit first, then our parents when the time is right for them and then of course, we will go home to spirit as well. And whilst that experience is terribly sad for us, for those who have gone back to spirit, they are in a beautiful place, surrounded by love, light and joy, and of course, they can still see us and what we’re doing in our lives and they try to help us when they can. ┬áRarely though, a child will pass back to spirit before their parent – and that is against the natural order of life and in many ways that feels so much more difficult to bear and naturally is so. We take our hats off to parents who manage to survive that terrible experience and carry on with life.

I know people will use the old saying “Time heals”, but does it really? I believe not. What does happen with time though, is that their passing becomes less raw. Their loss to you is less often in the forefront of your mind, you love them and miss them no less, but your life has changed to accommodate that emptiness.

So how can we change our lives to become more of what we do like?

Well, to change your life, you must change your thoughts. Instead of dwelling on what you are missing in your life – whether that is money, health, a partner, a dog, a nice place to live, a nice place to work ( I could go on for ever here but I will stop there), think about what you do want in your life and imagine yourself enjoying that. Get that wonderful feeling in your tummy that you get when you know something is right and good, and imagine whatever it is you want. It’s as simple as that.

I know we all get negative thoughts in our head from time to time. Of course we do – we’re simply human. You can train your mind to leave those negative thoughts out. So when you catch yourself worrying about something or someone – think “cancel, cancel, cancel” and then make a positive statement in place of that.

Worth trying eh?
